Upgrading Buzzad to Python 3

Every Wednesday, engineers from across Buzzvil’s teams get together to share expertise in areas that interest them and discuss new technologies related to their work. These sessions help us deepen what we already know, learn what we don’t, and bring that knowledge back to our work to make it more efficient and creative.

This Buzzvil Tech Weekly session focused on Upgrading BuzzAd to Python 3. We reviewed the key differences between Python 2 and Python 3, along with tools that can help with the upgrade. We discussed potential migration issues and what to prepare before starting. Based on this work, we plan to upgrade the BuzzAd server, which currently runs on Python 2, to Python 3.
